What products are Freeze dryers suitable for?
Please note that the freeze drying method can dry all products, but not all dry products need to be freeze dried, so choosing a freeze dryer needs to have a suitable and specific purpose. Mushroom drying time is about 25-30 hours on an industrial dryer, 35 hours on a 5kg household dryer. A drying temperature of -30oC or higher is suitable, and a drying chamber vacuum pressure of < 20pa is effective for ice to sublimate quickly.
Note that, after freeze-drying, the products will have a powdery form, spongy, brittle and can be crushed by hand, so if the soft drying is needed, freeze-drying is not suitable.
